Following their ambition to redefine modern African fashion, Asa Africa partnered with us to build a complete, future-ready brand identity that honored their heritage and elevated their global presence. Our goal was to shape a brand system that captures the essence of African beauty and craftsmanship while giving Asa Africa the clarity, confidence, and distinction they needed to connect with a new wave of culturally conscious fashion lovers around the world.

The challenge was to honor centuries of African artistry while presenting it through a refined, contemporary fashion brand.
Our Approach:

We began by immersing ourselves in Asa Africa’s cultural roots, exploring symbolism, African textiles, shields, craftsmanship, and their brand philosophy of beauty and protection (“ASA” meaning beauty and shield in Yoruba).
From these insights, we developed a brand identity anchored on:
• Heritage-inspired symbolism
• Earth-driven fashion color stories
• Woven-textile shapes and patterns
• A bold, elegant, and modern typography system
• A brand voice that is confident, expressive, and culturally aware

• A contemporary shield-inspired logo representing strength, beauty, heritage, and protection
• A warm, earthy color palette blending charcoal, terracotta, mustard, indigo, and kente gold
• A refined typography pairing (Outfit + Quicksand + Playfair) to balance modernity with luxury
• A signature brand pattern inspired by woven African textiles
• Iconography rooted in cultural motifs
• Textured backgrounds mimicking fabric, clay, and tribal craft
